Omura Shrine enshrines Omura Masujiro who was from Suzenji and one of the Ten Heroes of the Restoration.
This shrine was moved to its current location where it has a complete view of the huge Lake Nagasawa in 1946. The shrine’s area plays a role as a place of rest for local residents and also has events such as “Birthday festivals” and “Anniversary of death”. Not only those who like history but also those who aspire to be medical doctors visit to pray at this place because Omura Masujiro was a medical doctor. The life of Omura Masujiro is introduced at Suzenji Hometown Museum, next to the shrine, and many articles left by him such as his favorite folding fan, an ancient soldier's helmet and his own handwriting operation map are displayed.
