Yamaguchi Hagi-yaki Pottery
Yamaguchi Hagi-yaki pottery is characterized by a taste of simplicity, full of soft impressions.
Made from coarse clay, it has relatively high permeability, water retention, and heat retention. Because of this, vessels made of this pottery gradually change color the more they are used, creating an indescribable look of sober refinement.
This change is called the “seven transformations of Hagi” and is part of the distinctive charm of Hagi-yaki pottery.
