Getting to Yamaguchi
Access
The city of Yamaguchi is a vital transportation hub where the Sanyo Expressway meets the Chugoku Expressway. Shin-Yamaguchi Station is the only stop in Yamaguchi Prefecture for the high-speed Nozomi Shinkansen train and could even be called the gateway to the prefecture. Yamaguchi-Ube Airport, an approximately 90-minute flight from Tokyo, is about 35 minutes by bus from Shin-Yamaguchi Station. Boasting easy access from both inside and outside the prefecture, Yamaguchi has an environment well suited to serving as a base for tourism, meetings and events.
